BETHANY, W.Va. (Oct. 7, 2024) – Bethany College introduces two distinguished leaders to its Board of Trustees: Dr. Michelle Chen, a seasoned biotech executive, and Dr. Michele Myauo, a cybersecurity expert with extensive leadership in the technology sector.
“Dr. Michelle Chen and Dr. Michele Myauo are both exceptional visionaries in their respective industries,” says Ken Bado ‘77, chairman of the College’s Board of Trustees. “Their insights will be instrumental in guiding the College as we continue to pursue new paths for innovation and growth.”
Chen brings over two decades of experience in international business at companies such as Roche, Merck and Agilent Technologies, establishing herself as a prominent leader in the life science industries. Currently serving as the Chief Business Officer at Insilico Medicine, she oversees company business development, strategy, and the U.S. operations while managing a global team. With a proven leadership track record in R&D, product management & marketing, and external partnerships, she has played a key role in launching innovative products and technologies across various therapeutic areas, including oncology and rare diseases, and driving revenue growth. Recently she was named as one of the Top 25 Biotech Executives by the Healthcare Technology Report. Chen’s expertise and dedication to fostering industry growth make her a significant asset to Bethany’s Board.
Myauo is a highly regarded leader in cybersecurity, having held previous roles at Accenture, Microsoft, and IBM. She has led numerous global teams and significantly grown businesses, excelling in cloud computing, SaaS, and cybersecurity. A recipient of the Global CISO Forum World 200 CIO/CISO award, Myauo has driven innovation in IT services across industries such as healthcare, government, and finance. She also serves on several advisory boards, further highlighting her contributions to the field.
